| BRIAN
BOUCH, M.D. |
 |
Brian
received his undergraduate medical training at the University
of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, during which time
his interest
in acupuncture began as information about its spectacular
successes
in China began to trickle into the U.S. in the late
1960’s. After 12
years of practice in Emergency Medicine and Family Practice,
he
began his study of acupuncture with the HMI/UCLA Medical
Acupuncture
program. In 1986 he began to build a multispecialty
integrated
medical practice in Northern California. |

|
Today
that practice includes physician acupuncturists, licensed
acupuncturist-herbalists, manipulative osteopaths, a physical
therapist, a massage therapist, yoga instructor, Qigong teacher
and a weight loss program. Brian's professional interests
gravitate toward difficult-to-treat conditions, such as chronic
fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia, and the integration of a broad
range of CAM therapies with conventional medicine. He is the
former medical director of Onebody Inc., who created the first
multispecialty CAM provider networks nationwide for contracting
discounted alternative medicine services to major health insurance
company subscribers.
Dr.
Bouch has been a preceptor in the HMI/UCLA Medical Acupuncture
program since 1987, during which time he has been instrumental
in helping the course evolve to its current state of excellence.
He has helped to successfully train thousands of physician
acupuncturists.
Dr. Bouch is a founding member of the American Academy of
Medical Acupuncture and a diplomate of the American Board
of Medical Acupuncture.
