| FREDA
DREHER , M.D. |
 |
|
Harkening
from rural upstate New York, Freda attended the State
University of New York to receive a Medical Technology
degree, work at Rochester General Hospital and Eastman
Kodak before attending SUNY Buffalo medical school. She
pursued Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with the
intention of practicing sports medicine, but somehow along
the way became enamored with rehabilitation and the care
of disabled. |
After residency training, Freda moved to California
and has worked at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in rehabilitation
and at Kaiser Permanente as a chief of Integrative Medicine.
These supported positions allowed her the time and experience
to attend HMI for acupuncture training, continue her studies
in acupuncture, treat many patients and work as a preceptor
for the HMI program.
With all that having been done, she realized in 2006
that she had enough confidence to open her own private practice
utilizing Medical Acupuncture and Physiatry to see a wide
range of individuals and diagnoses. Freda now combines her
love of athletics and health by supplementing her acupuncture
practice with long distance running and daily Qi Gong.
